Copycat Joe’s Crab Shack Crab Cakes

Perfectly seasoned, pan-fried crab cakes with a crisp, golden crust and a tender, flavorful interior. Serve with lemon wedges and your favorite dipping sauce.

Ingredients

For the Crab Cakes:

  • 1 lb lump crab meat, carefully picked over for shells

  • ½ cup plain breadcrumbs

  • ½ cup mayonnaise

  • 1 large egg

  • 2 green onions, finely chopped

  • 2 tbsp finely diced red bell pepper

  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard

  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • ½ tsp paprika

  • ¼ tsp salt (or to taste)

  • ¼ tsp black pepper

  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

For Cooking & Serving:

  • ½ cup plain breadcrumbs (for coating)

  • 2-3 tbsp butter (for frying)

  • Lemon wedges, for serving

  • Tartar sauce or remoulade, for serving
